Damon Harbison, President of SSM Health Illinois – St. Mary’s Hospital, Centralia, has been elected to the Board of Trustees for the Illinois Health and Hospital Association (IHA). The IHA Board is the policymaking body for the Association, which represents more than 200 hospitals and nearly 40 health systems across Illinois. Harbison’s term is complete in 2025.

In 2018, Harbison was named President of SSM Health Illinois – St. Mary’s Hospital. Harbison has also served as the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Operations at SSM Health at St. Louis - Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital and Executive Director of Diagnostics and Therapeutics at SSM Health St. Louis – St. Mary’s/St. Clare/Cardinal Glennon.
Damon has a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences from Washington University/Jewish Hospital College of Nursing, along with an Associates of Applied Science degree in radiologic sciences.
