Verona, Wis. – SSM Health is pleased to announce plans to build a new medical campus in the city of Verona. The SSM Health board of directors recently approved phase one of the project which will include the construction of a 40,000 square foot clinic building near the intersection of Highways 151 and 69 on the south side of Verona.

“We know that Verona is a rapidly growing area, and we are excited to bring health care closer to home for those who live and work in that community, as well as the many surrounding communities,” says Jason Craig, VP of Ambulatory Care with SSM Health in Wisconsin. “As we go through the planning process, we look forward to working closely with the City of Verona and receiving feedback from the community and elected officials.”

The new clinic will offer a variety of services including primary care, lab and imaging services, as well as other specialty services. SSM Health currently owns 97 acres of land in this location. Future phases of the campus project will bring additional clinic space and services to the new campus.

“Verona is a thriving community and today’s announcement is more proof of that,” says Luke Diaz, mayor of Verona. “I look forward to working with SSM Health during the planning process and learning more as the project progresses. This has the potential to be a massive benefit to Verona and the region in general.”

SSM Health anticipates celebrating a groundbreaking in early 2025 and a grand opening in early 2026. We will know more as we get further into the site development work that needs to take place at the location. We will share additional information around timing, design and other factors as it becomes available.
