Harbison speaks at SIUE Dean’s Circle event, highlighting commitment to student success and community engagement

Mt. Vernon, IL – On May 11, 2024, Damon Harbison, President of SSM Health Good Samaritan and St. Mary’s Hospital, addressed attendees at the Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville (SIUE) Dean’s Circle event, where both he and his wife, Michelle, are members of the Dean’s Circle and Chancellor’s Circle. His invitation to speak at the event emphasizes Harbison’s long-standing dedication to the institution and its students. A distinguished member of the School of Business Advisory Board for four years, Damon’s contributions have been helpful in shaping the future of business education at SIUE.

Inducted into the Business Alumni Hall of Fame in 2022, Harbison has consistently engaged with the student body through personal mentoring events and various activities aimed at fostering student development and success. His involvement extends beyond advisory roles; in June 2023 he also joined the SIUE Foundation as a board member. In this capacity, Harbison is able to express his gratitude to donors, particularly those contributing to the School of Business. His efforts help ensure that our future regional leaders have the resources they need to excel.
