The Pediatric Clinical Decision Unit (PCDU) at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital - Mt. Vernon allows our emergency medicine physicians to consult with specialists from SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital and lessens the likelihood of families having to travel to St. Louis or other regions for care.

If you or your child is experiencing a life-threatening emergency or injury, please call 911.

Treatments include:

  • Cellulitis
  • Gastroenteritis
  • Dehydration
  • Injuries from falls
  • Seizures and headaches
  • Allergic reactions/anaphylaxis
  • Postoperative (ENT) & more
