Modern Healthcare magazine has named SSM Health to its list of Diversity Leaders for 2024. The award program honors healthcare organizations working to further equity and inclusion at their organizations and in the overall industry.
The magazine praised SSM Health’s work to increase workforce diversity and health equity. Those efforts include cultivating inclusive talent partnerships, expanding opportunities for employees to participate in diversity councils and business resource groups, increasing spending with diverse suppliers, and collaborating with health care providers and other community partners to meet local gaps in the health care landscape – especially those in diverse and multicultural communities.
“The organizations honored set an example, from their leadership ranks to their programming efforts, of the results that can be achieved across a workplace,” said Mary Ellen Podmolik, editor in chief at Modern Healthcare.
