SSM Health Welcomes Dr. Jason Chung as Vice President, Medical Affairs & Chief Medical Officer

Jason ChungMIDWEST CITY, Okla. – SSM Health St. Anthony is proud to announce Jason Chung, MD, MBA, CPE, will assume the role of Vice President, Medical Affairs & Chief Medical Officer for SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Midwest and SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Shawnee. Chung will serve as a key member of the leadership team providing strategic direction on medical staff related issues.

“Dr. Chung has distinguished himself at each stop of his career and we are so excited to welcome him to SSM Health St. Anthony,” said Dr. Bobby Rader, chief clinical officer for SSM Health Oklahoma and Mid-Missouri. “His dedication, enthusiasm and vision for exceptional care will be impactful at our Midwest City and Shawnee health ministry locations.”

Chung earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley. He completed multiple programs at Tufts University in Medford, Mass. including a Doctor of Medicine and Master of Business Administration. Chung is a seasoned physician executive with experience in clinical and leadership practice within clinically integrated systems. Prior to joining SSM Health, he served as the chief medical officer for a Medicare Advantage Health Plan in California. Additionally, Chung has served in several roles related to value-based care, population health and clinical quality and strategy for multiple companies. Chung is board certified in nuclear medicine, quality assurance and utilization review. He is also a certified physician executive and Lean Six Sigma certified.
