October 02, 2025 01:23 PM -

SSM Health at Home is proud to offer Camp GLOW (Giving Loved Ones Wings), a free day camp designed to support children who are navigating the difficult journey of grief after losing a loved one. Staffed by compassionate SSM Health at Home spiritual and grief counselors and dedicated volunteers, Camp GLOW offers a safe and nurturing environment where kids can express their feelings and find comfort.

Camp GLOW is thoughtfully crafted to meet each child’s needs. Through meaningful activities, campers are encouraged to share the stories of their loved ones and celebrate their memories. While the children engage in camp activities, the child’s parent or guardian receives guidance on how to support their grieving children while also caring for their own emotional well-being.

Event Details:
Camp GLOW will be held Saturday, October 25, from 10 am to 3 pm at St. John the Baptist School, 114 East Third Street, in Waunakee, Wis. Children ages 6-14 and their parents or guardians are welcome. The camp is open to any child who has experienced the loss of a loved one, regardless of whether they or their family are served by SSM Health. Lunch, drinks, and snacks will be provided throughout the day.
