Mt. Vernon, IL – The Women’s Center at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital - Mt. Vernon experienced its busiest month ever, with a record-breaking 150 births in March 2025.
“The team has really come together and demonstrated what true teamwork can accomplish over the past couple of months,” says Liz, Interim Director of the Women’s Center. “Births at the hospital are on the rise, and the team is working hard to manage the higher volume.”
