SSM Health welcomes Dr. Mike Angelidis as Vice President, Medical Affairs & Chief Medical Officer

SSM Health St. Anthony is proud to announce Mike Angelidis MD, CPE as the Vice President, Medical Affairs & Chief Medical Officer for SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Midwest and SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Shawnee. Angelidis will serve as a key member of the leadership team providing strategic direction on medical staff related issues.

“Dr. Angelidis has been tremendous in previous stops of his career, and we are so excited to welcome him to SSM Health St. Anthony,” said Dr. Bobby Rader, regional chief clinical officer for SSM Health Oklahoma and Mid-Missouri. “His passion, knowledge and vision for patient centered care is extremely impressive. Dr. Angelidis will help to ensure that our hospitals in Midwest City and Shawnee will continue to provide the type of exceptional care with which Oklahomans are familiar.”

Angelidis earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Oklahoma City University before earning his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma. Angelidis then completed an internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He has provided care as a hospitalist to residents of Oklahoma and Texas for nearly two decades. Prior to joining SSM Health, Angelidis served in a variety of roles at Saint Francis Health System in Tulsa, concluding his time there as the Medical Director of Hospitalist Services for the system. He is board certified in internal medicine. Angelidis is a member of the American Association of Physician Leadership, the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Society of Hospital Medicine. He has been published multiple times for his studies and served as a speaker at national medical conferences.
