Baraboo, WI  – SSM Health’s commitment to a healthy culture extends into our communities through events like the Madison College “Celebrate a Nurse” run. St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo proudly sponsors the annual event, which provides nursing scholarships for students at Madison College’s Reedsburg campus.

The scholarships provided by the event support students like Callie Blackley, a future Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Her passions for nursing and psychiatric care drive her commitment to making a positive impact in healthcare. SSM Health proudly supports Callie and all Madison College nursing students. Callie visited the hospital on Monday, June 23rd to accept her scholarship and pose for a photo with hospital leadership.

"Scholarships like those provided through our partnership with Madison College are vital for strengthening the pipeline of nurses in rural communities," said Mary LaHam, Vice President Clinical Administrator at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital - Baraboo. "By supporting these students, we invest in the future of healthcare, ensuring communities like ours have access to skilled and compassionate nurses."

This year’s Madison College “Celebrate a Nurse” Run was held on May 3. SSM Health nursing leadership and staff from the Baraboo area attended the event, with many also participating in the 5K. SSM Health would like to thank all staff who supported the event and congratulate all scholarship recipients.
