Celebrating 15 Years of Dedicated Service

August 20, 2025 11:10 AM -

SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation proudly honors Marcia Scott as she retires from the Board of Directors after 15 years of dedicated service. Marcia has been a guiding force on the Foundation Board since its inception in 2010, helping to inspire philanthropy and support the hospital’s mission of compassionate care.

A respected leader in the community, Marcia retired as General Manager of Tri-County Electric Cooperative after a remarkable 42-year career, including 26 years in a leadership role. Her deep commitment to service and community well-being has left a lasting impact on both the Foundation and the region it serves.

“Marcia’s steadfast commitment and service to SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital and our community has been remarkable,” said Kay Zibby-Damron, Foundation Director at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital. “Her strong faith, expertise and unwavering support has impacted our mission and enriched countless lives. We appreciate and thank Marcia for her dedication and leadership to Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation.”

Though stepping down from the board, Marcia continues to serve the hospital in a meaningful way—as a cuddler volunteer in the nursery, offering comfort and care to newborns who need a little extra attention.

“I am honored to have had the opportunity to serve with a dedicated group of individuals on the SSM Health Good Samaritan Foundation Board in the work to help the hospital continue its healing ministry,” said Marcia Scott.

SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to Marcia Scott for her years of dedicated service and wishes her continued joy in her next chapter of giving.
