SSM Health Medical Group Welcomes Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Lincoln Shenje to Mt. Vernon

Mt. Vernon, IL – SSM Health Medical Group is excited to welcome Dr. Lincoln Shenje, a board-certified heart specialist, to the cardiology team in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Dr. Shenje brings years of experience and advanced skills to support heart care across Southern Illinois.

He performs procedures to open blocked arteries, treat blood clots in the lungs, and help patients with weak hearts. Dr. Shenje also uses advanced imaging tools like echocardiograms, CT scans, and MRIs to diagnose and treat heart conditions.

Dr. Shenje trained at The Johns Hopkins University, one of the top medical schools in the country, and has worked in leading hospitals across the U.S. He is now accepting patients age 18 and older for coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, pulmonary embolisms, complex hypertension, and pacemaker and leadless device implants.
