SSM Health Medical Group in Mt. Vernon donates to Employee Relief Fund

July 22, 2026 01:34 PM -

SSM Health Medical Group in Mt. Vernon recently answered the call to Empower Care by supporting the Employee Relief Fund, which aids SSM Health employees in Southern Illinois facing unexpected financial hardships.

Staff at SSM Health Medical Group - Mt. Vernon donated a leadership gift of $25,000 to the ERF, helping strengthen this essential lifeline for employees.

By offering this leadership gift to the ERF, SSM Health Medical Group - Mt. Vernon has helped ensure that support is available the moment one of our colleagues is in need. This investment directly reinforces our mission and values, fostering a culture of care and compassion, resilience, and community within SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital - Mt. Vernon and SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - St. Louis.

“At its heart, the Employee Relief Fund is about taking care of each other. When one of our team members is facing an unexpected hardship, this fund allows us to step in with compassion and support – so they can focus on what matters most. We’re incredibly grateful to the Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Staff for leading by example. Their generous gift is inspiring – especially during our iCare, iGive Employee Giving Campaign this month. We hope their leadership encourages other SSM Health team members to join us in supporting the Employee Relief fund and our Southern Illinois teammates.”

The St. Mary Jean Ryan Employee Relief Fund was established to help ease the burden of our SSM Health team members who have encountered financial hardship due to a natural disaster, fire, personal illness, or a catastrophic or unforeseen event. The fun provides financial assistance to coworkers, and the funding comes from the donations of our SSM Health team members.

The Employee Relief Fund is supported by SSM Health team members. Those wishing to make a difference for fellow SSM Health team members in Southern Illinois facing a difficult moment, the Employee Relief Fund is one what to help carry that burden together. Visit iCareiGive.org to make your gift and learn more about the iCare, iGive Employee Giving Campaign.
