Mount Vernon, Illinois – SSM Health in Southern Illinois is happy to welcome pulmonologist Jawed Abubaker, MD, to SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

Dr. Abubaker specializes in a wide range of respiratory conditions such as asthma, lung cancer, and pneumonia. Dr. Abubaker offers expert diagnosis and treatment for complex airway disorders including airway strictures and chronic lung conditions like emphysema and farmer’s lung.

Patients trust Dr. Abubaker for comprehensive care in managing lung nodules, pleural diseases such as pleural effusions and pneumothorax, chronic coughing up blood (hemoptysis), and recurrent pulmonary papillomatosis treatments.
