The EnRICH (Enhancing Refugee and Immigrant Children’s Health) program in Cardinal Glennon’s Danis Pediatrics Clinic seeks to provide specialty care to newly arrived immigrant and refugee children. We aim to empower our families to participate in managing the medical needs of their children through providing education and access to exceptional healthcare. Our main goal is to help families build confidence in their own abilities, so that they are comfortable taking care of their children’s health here in the United States. The Fostering Healthy Children program takes a multidisciplinary approach to medical care for children entering foster care. Our team of SLUCare Physician Group experts is committed to ensuring our young patients have access to the continuous medical care and services they need, regardless of where they live. Our program provides initial exams for all children entering foster care to ensure any immediate medical needs are met. Additionally, we perform comprehensive evaluations, create health plans for our patients, including recommendations for ongoing care, and ensure each child has a comprehensive health record that can follow the child even if his or her placement changes.
