The SLUCare Physician Group pediatric endocrinology team at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital provides effective diagnosis, treatment, and lifestyle management for children with complex endocrine system disorders. Our pediatric endocrinologists perform specialized endocrine function testing, educate others about endocrine disease and coordinate growth hormone treatment.

Our staff provides inpatient and outpatient diabetes education, instruction for patients on intensive insulin regimens, and a high level of inpatient diabetic care through the education of hospital nursing staff. Our dietitians, social workers and child psychologists are also available to offer nutritional guidance and psychosocial evaluation, as well as advice to patients and their families.

• Regular introductory classes for families to learn about insulin pumps

Prader-Willi Syndrome

We offer a subspecialty Prader-Willi Syndrome Clinic, which sees patients monthly. Our team connects you with the latest research on the effects of growth hormone therapy in children diagnosed with this syndrome.

Turner Syndrome

A subspecialty clinic is available for girls diagnosed with Turner Syndrome. Because patients need ongoing medical care to monitor for development or medical problems. We coordinate referrals and care from multiple pediatric subspecialties. We also host “meet and greet’ events for girls and families to network and participate in social activities.
