Visitor Guidelines
SSM Health DePaul Hospital and SSM Health Medical Group have updated our visitor policy to:
- SSM Health has discontinued its universal masking policy.
- Masks are no longer required, with the exception of those who have known or suspected COVID-19 or other upper respiratory symptoms.
- Patients will continue to be screened for upper respiratory symptoms, and masks will be provided for those who need one.
- We support patients and visitors who choose to wear a mask.

The SSM Health DePaul - St. Louis Chapel is located off of the main lobby, open 24 hours a day.
At SSM Health DePaul - St. Louis, we believe in treating the whole person, supporting your spiritual, physical, and emotional needs. Our chaplains are available seven days a week from 8 am – 4 pm, offering a listening presence, spiritual support and pastoral assistance in a health care crisis. In addition to our regular daily hours, there is a chaplain on-call 24 hours a day for emergency pastoral needs.

Our gift shop is located on the lobby level of the hospital, just inside the front entrance. Here you’ll find a variety of unique gift items, greeting cards, and a full-service florist, as well as snacks and miscellaneous toiletry items you may have forgotten.

Our gift shop is operated by the DePaul Auxiliary and all proceeds benefit the DePaul Foundation. Auxiliary members receive a 20% discount in the shop.

Vending Machines
Vending machines, offering a variety of snack items, are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They are located on the main hospital floor, across from the patient tower elevators and throughout the hospital.
