- All surgeries covered by specialized pediatric surgeons, including pediatric orthopedic surgeries

- The Ronald McDonald Family Room, located on the third floor of the hospital, offers a quiet overnight space for families without needing to leave the hospital.
- The Gardens of St. Mary’s offer a calming outdoor space for families to renew and recharge.

Who is the Ronald McDonald Family Room for?
Families who have a child in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) or pediatric unit at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison are welcome to use the Ronald McDonald Family Room.
What amenities are available for families?
Located on the third floor adjacent to the Family Care Suites, the Ronald McDonald Family Room offers:
- Four sleeping rooms, each with a private bath for naps or overnight stays (adults only)
- Kitchen stocked with snacks and beverages
- Shared kitchen and dining area
- Laundry and shower facilities
- Living room with view of gardens
- Area to relax, read or watch TV
- Library and workspace with WiFi
- Day use available for antepartum families
How can I stay at the Ronald McDonald Family Room?
Families should notify a Family Room volunteer, nurse or hospital social worker if they’d like to stay overnight.
- Your name will be added to the daily room request list.
- Because there are a limited number of sleep rooms, these rooms are available to families on a one-night-at-a-time basis.
- Please sign up by 2 pm each day.
- If you are assigned a room, you will be given information on the check-in and check-out time.
- The capacity of our sleep rooms is limited to two adults per room.
