In this role, Fotheringham will provide leadership for the three SSM Health campuses and will serve as a primary point of contact and collaboration with the system’s partners at Saint Louis University and SLUCare. He will begin his work in St. Louis on January 4, 2021.
Fotheringham comes to SSM Health from University of Missouri Health Care, where he served as Chief Operating Officer for a network of five hospitals and more than 60 medical group locations. In his time at MU Health Care, Fotheringham has overseen dramatic improvement in operational performance and clinical excellence, while enhancing employee engagement.

Fotheringham began his career as a registered nurse in cardiovascular, critical care/trauma and medical-surgical nursing. He also earned Masters of Health Systems Administration and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Kansas.
He pioneered the creation of the Alliance for Precision Health with Siemens Healthineers, which was the largest in its history, to fuel development of precision and digital health technologies. Prior to MU Health Care, Jeremy held leadership roles at Intermountain Healthcare, Marrek and the University of Utah Hospitals & Clinics
