SoonerSelect patients: Act now to name your trusted doctor as your primary care provider

Qualifying Oklahomans can name their preferred PCP under new health plan offerings, even after deadline has passed

March 10, 2024 01:33 PM -

OKLAHOMA – If you are a patient covered by Medicaid in Oklahoma, you may be aware that SoonerCare has changed. Starting April 1, 2024, most SoonerCare members now get their health care services covered by a new program called SoonerSelect.

Earlier this year, Oklahomans had the opportunity to choose one of three plans offered by the Oklahoma Health Care Authority: Aetna Better Health of Oklahoma, Humana Healthy Horizons of Oklahoma and Oklahoma Complete Health. SSM Health is proudly in-network with all three plans.

If you did not select your preferred plan by March 10, 2024, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority automatically assigned you a plan and may have assigned you a PCP outside of the SSM Health system.

However, if you would like to change your PCP to a trusted SSM Health provider, there is still time! Simply follow these steps depending on which plan you are enrolled in:

  • Aetna Better Health: Please call the Aetna Better Health member line at 844-365-4385.
  • Humana Health Horizons of Oklahoma: Call the Humana Health Horizons of Oklahoma member service call center at 855-223-9868 (TTY: 7110) or go to the member portal on Availity.
  • Oklahoma Complete Health: Please call the Oklahoma Complete Health customer service line at 1-833-752-1664. If your family member is enrolled in the Children’s Specialty Program, call at 1-833-752-1665.
