SSM Health’s Wisconsin hospitals share area families’ top baby names in 2025

Theodore, Charlotte top the list at SSM Health hospitals in Wisconsin

SSM Health teams helped Wisconsin families welcome 3,698 bundles of joy into the world in 2025.

When looking at the most common names given to these sweet new family members, parents most commonly chose:

  • Theodore
  • Henry
  • James
  • Charlotte
  • Harper
  • Violet

While our birth and family care teams are busy caring for families year-round, March and May saw the highest number of birthdays in 2025, with 323 little ones joining the world both months. SSM Health teams also helped welcome 60 sets of twins this year.

The NICU team at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Madison also helped celebrate the discharge of 367 NICU graduates.
