After an extensive national search with many qualified candidates, SSM Health is pleased to announce Kim Henrichsen, RN, MSN has accepted the role as President for SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital and SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - St. Louis effective Monday, April 21, 2025. The two hospitals together form the adult academic platform for SSM Health in St. Louis.
“Since stepping into the role of Interim President in December 2024, Kim has demonstrated her extensive healthcare expertise as a collaborative and dedicated leader, committed to delivering exceptional, high-quality care to all those we serve. I am excited for her continued focus on fostering engaged, high-performing teams as both a strategic and operational leader,” said Jeremy Fotheringham, St. Louis and Southern Illinois Regional President SSM Health.
Kim holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Utah and has an extensive background in health care delivery and leadership, starting as a critical care nurse and growing in her leadership and clinical responsibilities to hold system-level responsibilities at Intermountain Healthcare.
Before her interim responsibilities, she also was the national leader for medical management for Centene, which gave her broad insights into complex patients in complex environments and new ways to serve them. Kim has a history of successful leadership, in her many varied capacities, and we are excited for what the future holds for both health ministries under her guidance.
