SSM Health Medical Group and SLUCare Physician Group President Announces Retirement

ST. LOUIS, MO – SSM Health Medical Group and SLUCare Physician Group announced today that President Kevin Elledge will retire effective July 10, 2026, following five years of transformative leadership. He will remain in his role through the recruitment and onboarding of his successor to ensure a seamless transition.

Appointed in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Elledge has led the organization through a period of significant growth and change. His tenure included the successful acquisition and integration of the academic and community medical groups, positioning the organization for long-term success and expanded access to care.

“Kevin has been a steady and visionary leader during some of the most complex moments in our history,” said Jeremy Fotheringham, Regional President of SSM Health, St. Louis and Southern Illinois. “His ability to unite teams, navigate change, and drive strategic growth has left a lasting impact on our organization and the communities we serve.”

The search for his successor will begin immediately.
