The ACR awards this distinction to breast imaging centers that have achieved accreditation in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy and breast ultrasound, including ultrasound-guided breast biopsy. Facilities receiving the designation demonstrate excellence across multiple imaging modalities and meet rigorous national standards for quality and patient safety.
