On April 23, 2026, SSM Health pediatric clinics across the St. Louis and Southern Illinois region are coming together under one name: SSM Health Cardinal Glennon. Across the greater metropolitan area, families will receive a more connected system of support with streamlined access to a full spectrum of services, from routine primary care to advanced specialty and hospital-based treatment.
This means the care children receive at their neighborhood pediatrician’s office is now even more connected to the specialists, hospital teams, and resources of the SSM Health Cardinal Glennon network. Under this new alignment, a full continuum of coordinated services will now work together to provide the best possible care for every child.
“As a leading pediatric health provider, our priority is making high-quality, specialized care easier to access for every family we serve,” said Hossain Marandi, MD, MBA, FACHE, president of SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital and system vice president, Pediatric Services. “By unifying our pediatric practices under one coordinated structure, we are eliminating barriers, strengthening continuity, and ensuring that no matter where a child begins their care journey, they are connected to the full expertise of SSM Health Cardinal Glennon.”
This transition is part of SSM Health’s investment in the future of pediatric care in our region, including the construction of a new, state-of-the-art SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital opening in 2027.
As part of this effort, 13 pediatric offices across the region will adopt the SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Pediatrics name, bringing clarity and consistency to families. On Thursday, April 23, at 12 p.m., a ceremony to launch the new alignment will take place at 1345 Smizer Mill Road, Fenton, Missouri 63026. Media representatives are invited to attend.
