Madison, Wisconsin - The Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin has recognized two SSM Health hospitals with 2026 Crystal Vision Awards, honoring the health ministries’ commitment to supporting organ, eye, and tissue donation.
SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital - Fond du Lac and SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - Madison were among 12 Wisconsin health care organizations named Hospital Partners of the Year.
"These honorees represent the best of Wisconsin: compassionate professionals and volunteers who ensure that the gift of sight is honored, preserved and shared," said Stacey M. Troha, CEO of Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin. "Because of their dedication, thousands of people in Wisconsin and beyond have regained independence, dignity and the ability to see the world clearly."
The Crystal Vision Awards recognize outstanding partners who help make organ, eye and tissue donations possible through collaboration, education and support for donor families. In addition to hospitals, several medical examiners and a funeral home were honored.
Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin facilitated donations from 1,148 donors and recovered 1,739 tissues for transplant in 2025. Those efforts helped restore sight to 718 people in more than 35 countries, where access to corneal transplants is often limited.
