With double the examination space for its 6,000 patient visits per year, and ample room to house the many services that provide specialized support to families with additional needs, SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Pediatrics - Danis Pediatrics in Tower Grove is well-positioned to serve the ever-expanding pediatric health care needs of the St. Louis community.
The new location at 2927 S. Kingshighway Blvd., in South City is only a few miles away, but many times larger than its previous location in Midtown. It also features ample, private parking and easy access to public transportation via a bus stop on the corner offering service in all directions.
More Ways to Care
Beyond caring for children from newborn to age 18 with well-care and sick-child visits, Danis Pediatrics provides much-needed ancillary support services from this new location, including:
- DanisCARES (Connection and Resource Equity Services): A partnership between pediatricians, social workers, and family navigators to provide a safety net for families.
- Foreign Adoption Clinic and Educational Services (FACES): A comprehensive program that addresses the many needs of internationally adopted children and their families.
- P-Square Parenting: A Saint Louis University School of Medicine research program that empowers parents to address behavioral problems.
- Reach Out & Read: Encourages literacy by ensuring every child leaves the clinic with a book to keep, and provides children with volunteer reading partners in the waiting room.
The new center also features room to grow, with space for the future expansion of more specialty and ancillary services, bringing comprehensive pediatric patient care under one roof for added convenience and accessibility.
A Community Celebrates
Danis Pediatrics celebrated its grand opening on April 14, 2023, with a community event. Neighbors, community leaders, donors, patients, and health care professionals came together to see the new clinic and welcome it to the Tower Grove neighborhood, where it will serve families for years to come. As Jeremy Fotheringham, Academic and St. Louis Regional President of SSM Health noted, "On behalf of our entire SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Pediatrics team, we are incredibly grateful to the community and donor support that has led to the opening of this clinic."
