When Nicole, an SSM Health team member, was diagnosed with breast cancer while 24 weeks pregnant with her third child, she began a journey that she could not have imagined.
Through multiple rounds of chemotherapy, the delivery and weeklong NICU stay of her newborn son, and subsequent rounds of chemo, one thing was constant: the amazing level of compassion and love she received from her caregivers at SSM Health.
