Applicants & Resident Benefits

The SSM Health St. Anthony Transitional Year Residency Program will be accepting applications for our six PGY-1 positions via ERAS (the Electronic Residency Application Service).

Applications must be submitted by November 1st. The program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). The residency program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

SSM Health St. Anthony accepts ERAS application beginning in September. Interviews will be held in November, December and/or January for the 2025-2026 cycle.

Additional Materials

In addition to your application we will need:

  • A copy of your official medical school transcript
  • A copy of your board scores
  • 3 letters of recommendation

Interview Expectations

For an interview, the applicant must:

  • Pass USMLE Step 1 or COMLEX Level 1. A minimum score of 400 (3 digit) is required for COMLEX 1 and 194 for the USMLE Step 1.
  • Not fail board exams more than once. Students who fail more than one test will not meet criteria. For example, if a student failed USMLE 1 twice or failed USMLE 1 and 2 each on the first try, the student would not meet criteria.
  • For applicants who have already graduated from medical school, eligible applicants must have graduated from medical school within twenty-seven months of their potential residency start date.
