Residents of this program will have nine required rotation experiences, three elective rotation experiences, and a 4-week concentrated research block.

  • Hematology^
  • Infectious Disease/Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS)

  • Pharmacy Practice Management/Medication Safety/Investigational Drug Service
  • Pulmonary/Medicine Critical Care
  • Resident Orientation

^Only one of these hematology/oncology type rotations must be completed.

*Only two of these critical care electives may be completed.

Certification and Teaching Opportunities

  • Teaching certificate required through University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy in St. Louis Resident Education Academy
  • Regional continuing education seminar lecture development
  • Precepting Advanced Practice Pharmacy Experience (APPE) students from local colleges of pharmacy

Staffing Requirements

  • Independent staffing is defined as any time that a resident is caring for patients and not being directly supervised by another pharmacist
