About the Ministry
SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital – Lake St. Louis is a 216-bed facility full-service community hospital located in Lake St. Louis, Missouri. Located in the fastest growing region of the state, our hospital provides care primarily to residents of western St. Charles, Lincoln, and Warren counties. SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital is a state-designated Level III Trauma Center, a Level II Time Critical Diagnosis STEMI Center, and specializes in obstetric and orthopedic care.
Residency Overview
This 12-month, PGY1 pharmacy residency program is designed to develop well-rounded clinical pharmacists prepared for a health-system pharmacy career. Within a community hospital setting, residents will gain clinical knowledge through exposure to a variety of patient care specialties including internal medicine, critical care, emergency medicine, and ambulatory care. Residents will engage in various learning opportunities through clinical rotations, central pharmacy staffing, longitudinal research, and academic teaching. The program transitions new pharmacists into confident practitioners by providing mentorship for personal and professional growth, while simultaneously promoting resident independence.
