General Pediatric Surgery
Our surgical team is designed to manage routine to highly complex cases. All our surgical team members are trained in specialized care of children.
At SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital our SLUCare Physician Group board-certified pediatric general surgeons provide state-of-the-art surgical care to children from before birth through young adulthood.
We understand that children are not simply small adults. Our pediatric general surgeons collaborate with experts across the hospital to ensure your child receives the individualized care he or she needs. In addition, our SLUCare pediatric surgeons are specialists in minimally invasive surgery, resulting in smaller scars and faster recovery than with traditional surgery. Some minimally invasive surgeries for children are performed through an incision as small as a keyhole.
In addition, through the SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital Fetal Care Institute, we are able to perform open and closed procedures on babies in the womb to correct congenital abnormalities.
