Doing Business with SSM Health

This page is intended to guide all suppliers through critical actions required to do business with SSM Health. Following these steps is crucial in maintaining a successful relationship with SSM Health.

Collaborative Commerce Ecosystem

Because at SSM Health, our mission extends beyond business. It's about caring for those we're blessed to serve. And now, with the addition of SAP Ariba and the SAP Business Network, we're embarking on a transformative voyage - one that echoes compassion, innovation, and excellence.

Deployment of SAP Ariba

To achieve this, we're implementing two SAP Ariba solutions, powerful platforms that include the Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP) and the SAP Business Network. These toolsets will significantly enhance the way we work together.

New Suppliers

SLP will streamline the registration process and ensure a smooth start to our relationship.

Current Suppliers

Easily update your information through the platform, ensuring accurate data flow and streamlined transactions. Existing suppliers must use SLP to request changes to their data (such as name, address, or contact information) or banking details.

For suppliers who don't currently utilize GHX, get ready to experience the benefits of the SAP Business Network:

  • Centralized Communication: Purchase orders, confirmations, shipping notices, and invoices will all be transmitted through this user-friendly system.
  • Predictable Payment: Timely payments are assured for suppliers actively using the SAP Business Network for invoicing.

Suppliers Using the GHX Platform

Though registering through SLP is required to assure your organization is paid, there is no need to change the current electronic ordering and invoicing pathways in place.

Suppliers not using the GHX Platform:

  • Summer of 2024: If your organization does not use the GHX platform, receiving Purchase Orders and Invoicing SSM Health through the SAP Business Network will be required.
  • For most suppliers, the free SAP Business Network Standard Account will bring a simplified process that assures streamlined payments from SSM Health. If you’re not leveraging the GHX platform, it’s time to prepare for a seamless transition.
  • Key transactions—such as purchase orders, order confirmations, advanced ship notices, and invoices—will all be available to flow through this system.

Important Details for Payment

To be paid, invited suppliers must send invoices using one of the following two methods:
  • The simple “PO Flip” process within SAP Business Network (FREE)
  • If your company has previously engaged SAP/Ariba to integrate your systems with SAP Business Network as an Enterprise Account, information and playbooks on configuring Enterprise SAP Business Account for these payment methods will be forthcoming.

Exclusions

Some of our valued relationships may fall under specific exemptions where they will continue to leverage the more manual processes. These exceptions include:

  • Government Agencies
  • Utilities
  • Physicians
  • Employee Relief Fund Vendors
  • Board of Directors
  • Foundations
