SSM Health and News 3 Now are partnering on the Time for Kids: Keys to Health campaign to prepare our future leaders to grow up happy and healthy by addressing the community health issues that directly impact our kids’ health.
Throughout the next year, we’ll share stories, tips and host community events to empower kids and adults to have an active role in building healthier communities.
“When a community comes together to support its children, it benefits our entire society,” says SSM Health Community Health Director Megan Timm. “By working together to address issues like food insecurity and environmental and mental health, we can have a bigger impact on improving the health of kids, families, neighbors and entire communities.”

Starting off the spring season, SSM Health experts and the Time for Kids: Keys to Health campaign will focus on how to unlock a healthier world through sustainable choices. We’ll share stories with quick, actionable steps area families can take to improve their health and the health of our environment.
“The environment is all around us, and when the air we breathe or the water we drink contain pollution, it can have a big impact on our health,” says Nikeya Bramlett, SSM Health Community Health Manager. “These impacts can be even greater on children who are growing. Individual and family decisions can add up to a big impact on your family’s health and the health of the community you live in.”
As we move into the summer and fall the Time for Kids teams will share stories about food insecurity, address important mental health topics and highlight the health benefits of volunteering and giving back.
All throughout the campaign, we’ll be out in your community with giveaways, activities and events that will empower families to unlock a healthier world together.
You can learn more about the campaign by watching for stories on News 3 Now, online at ssmhealth.com/timeforkids, and in your community as we come together to take Time for Kids.
