SSM Health Monroe Clinic Medical Group Registered Nurse Beverly “Bev” Ethridge was surprised today with the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award, in recognition of commitment to patient care and nursing excellence.

Ethridge has worked in the nursing profession for more than 50 years. She brings deep clinical knowledge and has a remarkable ability to connect with others and has worked in hospital and clinic settings.

"Beverly puts the patient at the center of all of her decisions, consistently collaborating with her team to set the patients up for success…she truly embodies the Mission of SSM Health and fosters a culture of kindness and teamwork in all of her interactions,” said Stacey Glasson, SSM Health Monroe Hospital interim VP of Patient Care.

In addition to Ethridge’s exceptional care in the clinic, her commitment to strengthening relationships among Monroe teams is unmatched. She is known for organizing thoughtful gatherings and meaningful celebrations.

“Beverly knows that strong connections and mutual support lead to the best possible care for patients,” Glasson said.

Ethridge is a trusted mentor and steady source of support - particularly for newer nurses. Whether stepping in to assist with patient care or taking time to listen, she always offers reassurance and guidance without judgment.

The DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award was created to recognize nurses who have devoted their life's work to the compassionate care of others. Recipients of this award are nominated for their dedication to nursing through active mentoring, role modeling, advocating for their patients and promoting the positive image of nursing. It is The DAISY Foundation’s highest honor.
