On a beautiful spring morning in mid-Missouri, two school friends decided it was the perfect time to have a lemonade stand. But rather than keep the profits, the two little girls with big hearts decided to donate everything they made that day to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - Jefferson City.
The 9-year-olds specifically wanted “to help all the new babies entering the world” and raised $12.76 on May 14th. The successful day inspired Kinsley Berendzen and Anna Lurkins to plan more lemonade stands in the near future to continue donating to their special cause.
Kinsley is the daughter of Dr. Jodi Berendzen, an obstetrician and gynecologist with Women’s Clinic of Jefferson City Medical Group who delivers babies at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - Jefferson City.
