The St. Louis Business Journal has honored Justin Alferman, SSM Health’s director of advocacy, for his work in improving quality and access to health care throughout the state of Missouri.
Alferman, a former legislative director to Missouri Gov. Mike Parson as well as chief of staff to Missouri House Majority Leader Mike Cierpiot, joined SSM Health five years ago to unite his Catholic faith with his passion for the greater good that government can do for all the people it serves.
His reputation for bringing people together with differing viewpoints had attracted Gov. Parson’s interest, and that same quality has served him well in working with SSM Health, a Catholic, non-profit health system. “He’s established a high level of integrity and trust across the political spectrum,” says Jeremy Fotheringham, SSM Health Regional President. “That has earned him a great deal of credibility in St. Louis and throughout the state.”
Alferman will be honored at a Business Journal event on Nov. 5. An article on his career will appear in the Business Journal Nov. 8.
