Our history shapes who we are today.
The journey began in 1898 when our founding sisters established St. Anthony Hospital as the first hospital in the Oklahoma Territory in two rented houses with 12 beds at 219 N.W. 4th Street. Later, a new 25-bed, two story brick structure was dedicated on November 23, 1899, just outside the Oklahoma City limits. St. Anthony Hospital remains in the same location today as a 773-bed tertiary care hospital. Our health ministry has expanded beyond Midtown Oklahoma City to include outpatient facilities, clinics, and five St. Anthony Healthplex campuses.

ATM (Automated Teller Machine): a 24-hour automated teller machine is on the second floor of the hospital, just south of the main elevators.
We have pastoral care staff chaplains available to minister to people of all faiths. SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Oklahoma City chaplains are here to help support your journey to wellness by offering spiritual guidance and counseling. Your own priest, minister or rabbi is always welcome to visit while you’re here.
You can reach our pastoral care staff at 405-272-6220, Monday through Friday from 8 am - 4:30 pm. In the event of an emergency, please dial “0” for the hospital operator.
Our hospital chapel is located on the second floor near the West Lee Avenue entrance and is open for worship and prayer for all. Mass is held Monday through Friday at Noon. Saturday vigil is at 4 pm, and Sundays and holidays at 10 am.
The gift shop is located on the second floor near the West Lee Avenue entrance. Merchandise in the shop includes a variety of candies, magazines, books, flowers and plants, and an ever-changing array of gifts and decorative accessories.
You are invited to stop in and browse, or call in an order to be delivered. The gift shop accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and cash. All profits from the gift shop go to the St. Anthony Volunteers, which, in turn, funds projects for the hospital.

Admitting and registration information:
We have two primary entrances: one on the west side of the campus accessible through the west parking garage on 9th Street near Shartel Avenue that allows for access through the hospital concourse/tunnel, and the other on the east side of the campus accessible from Walker Avenue.
The Emergency Room is accessible via the Pavilion ER entrance from Walker Avenue, between 10th and 9th Streets. We have two multilevel parking garages as well as several parking lots, so you should be able to park close to the entrance you’ll be using.
All parking at SSM Helath St. Anthony is free, and free valet parking (no tipping required) is available at the East Walker Avenue entrance.

Accessible parking is available in the west and south parking garages in locations nearest to the elevators on each floor and also near the East Walker Avenue and emergency entrances. If you park in the west garage near 9th Street and Shartel Avenue, take the elevator to the first floor to access the hospital through the concourse/tunnel on the first floor of the hospital. Elevators are available to access all floors at the end of the concourse/tunnel.
From the south 9th Street garage at Dewey Avenue, during its operating hours of 6 am - 6 pm, Monday through Friday, take the elevator to the third floor to access the glass walkway into the hospital’s third floor. An open parking lot is also available on 9th Street, between Walker Avenue and Dewey Avenue. Accessible parking is available at the entrance to the lot nearest Dewey Avenue. Emergency room parking is available at the East Walker Avenue entrance.
SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Oklahoma City is located at 10th and Lee near downtown Oklahoma City. Due to construction, the entry to the hospital on the west side of the campus at street level from Lee Avenue is temporarily closed. To reach the west entrance, enter the west parking garage on 9th Street, near Shartel Avenue Using the garage elevators, proceed to the first floor and cross the hospital on the first floor through the concourse/tunnel.
Another parking garage is located at Dewey Avenue and 9th Street. Open lot parking is available south of 9th Street between Walker Avenue and Dewey Avenue. All parking on the St. Anthony Hospital campus is free. Complimentary valet parking is available at the east Walker Avenue entrance.
Endoscopy patients may enter at the Endoscopy Center entrance on 9th Street, between Lee Avenue and Dewey Avenue. For those who prefer not to use valet parking, patients having inpatient or outpatient services at the hospital may be dropped off at the Endoscopy Center entrance.
