Lake Saint Louis, Missouri - SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis recently completed the construction on a new cardiac catheterization laboratory, enhancing the hospital's ability to provide advanced cardiovascular care closer to home for patients throughout St. Charles, Warren, and Lincoln Counties.
To celebrate the investment, hospital leaders, physicians and team members gathered on Sept. 21 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and blessing of the newly renovated space. The event recognized the dedication of the clinical teams and physician partners who provide life-saving cardiac care every day.
The new Cath Lab features enhanced imaging technology designed to support a wide range of cardiovascular and interventional procedures. The upgraded system provides high-quality imaging, improved flexibility for physicians and enhanced workflow capabilities that support efficient patient care.

Cardiac catheterization labs play a critical role in diagnosing and treating heart and vascular conditions. Physicians use these specialized suites to perform procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, coronary interventions and other minimally invasive treatments.

The new imaging platform includes advanced 3D imaging capabilities and enhanced positioning flexibility that supports a variety of cardiac and vascular procedures. These improvements help clinicians visualize anatomy with greater precision while supporting a positive patient experience.
