Curriculum

The residency is offered as a rural-based family medicine program, providing top-quality training at SSM Health Monroe Hospital. A limited number of rotations are offered in partnership with the University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. Residents can expect to spend 32 months at SSM Health Monroe Hospital. Required away rotations include:

  • Two months at SSM St. Mary’s in Madison during the three years of residency
  • One month at Children’s Wisconsin.

For required away call rotations (inpatient/OB), the program provides complimentary housing, meal stipends, and mileage reimbursement to residents.
