License Reimbursement
- Reimbursement for initial and renewal of Missouri Temporary Physician License

Outerwear
- A program approved outer garment (i.e. jacket, vest, etc.) will be purchased once during residency for each resident.
Conferences and Meetings
- Attendance at conferences and/or meetings are approved on a case-by-case basis after thorough review, and consideration of applicability, prior approvals, scheduling and affordability.
- Reimbursement for travel/meals/lodging at pre-approved conferences and meetings. Reimbursement requires pre-approval by program and paid receipts. All expenses must follow SSM Health guidelines and policies. Time taken to attend any such conference or meeting or lecture shall not be charged against the vacation. RESIDENT must notify and an obtain prior approval from the Program Director and VP-Medical Affairs/Chief Medical Officer, not less than two (2) weeks prior to attending such meetings.

Benefits
Salary
Competitive and maintained at market value, reviewed annually.
Current Salary:
- PGY 1- $65,912*
- PGY 2- $67,742*
- PGY 3- $69,898*
*The above salary is inclusive of a $1,200. annual meal stipend, allocated each academic year, outside of payroll, via an electronic card. Card balances do not carry forward to the next academic year.
Meal Stipend: Residents receive a $1,200.00 annual meal stipend, issued each academic year, outside of payroll, via an electronic card.
Visa Sponsorship
AY27 the program will only sponsor J-1 visa’s.
Vacation
- PGY 1: Resident shall be given three weeks (21 days) vacation in a one (1) week period and a two (2) week period with remuneration during the first graduate year, to be taken at the convenience of the hospital.
- PGY 2 and PGY 3: Resident shall be given four weeks (28 days) vacation in two (2), two (2) week periods with remuneration during each graduate year, to be taken at the convenience of hospital.
Insurance
Medical, vision and dental insurance, including prescription benefits, are available to all SSM employees and their families. Life insurance and disability insurance are also available if desired.
Professional Liability
Malpractice insurance coverage is provided.
Parking
Free parking near the hospital is provided.
Housing
Excellent, affordable and safe housing is readily available in the area near the hospital. Housing expenses are the resident’s financial responsibility.
