Our goal is to make each resident's year be exactly what they want. Elective rotations help us do this. These are some examples but not an exhaustive list.

Longitudinal Learning Experiences
- Service commitment (1 evening a week and every 4th weekend)
- Coumadin Clinic (1 half-day every week)
- Resident Research Project
- Teaching Certificate (highly recommend)
- Medication-Use Safety and Policy
Certifications and Teaching Opportunities
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Prepare and deliver continuing education seminars at the local college of pharmacy
- Co-precept APPE students
- Prepare and present longitudinal topic discussions to onsite APPE students
- Completion of the Teaching Certificate Program through Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Pharmacy
Staffing Requirements
- Work one weekend every four weeks, two 8-hour shifts
- Cover one evening shift per week, 4 hours in duration
- Work one major holiday and one minor holiday, each an 8-hour shift
