Good Samaritan Regional EMS System
Established in 1979, the Good Samaritan Regional EMS System provides medical oversight for Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support Transport (BLS), Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Non-transport Agencies in Jefferson, Marion, Franklin, Clay, Hamilton, Wayne, White, Williamson, Pulaski, Massac, and Saline County.
EMS oversight is also provided for Emergency Medical Dispatch Centers (EMD) and the Nationally Accredited Paramedic Training Programs at Rend Lake Community College and Kaskaskia Community College in addition to their Emergency Medical Technician Training (EMT) Programs as well as the Emergency Medical Technician Program at Frontier Community College.
The Good Samaritan Regional EMS System (0526) is located in E.M.S. Region five as established by the Illinois Department of Public Health. EMS personnel within the Good Samaritan Regional EMS System operate under Direct Medical Control and Standing Medical Orders
